Dr. Fabrizio Piacentini obtained both his master degree (2004) and Ph.D. (2008) in Physics. Since 2005, he has been conducting his research activity in the Optics (now Quantum Metrology and Nano-sciences) Division of INRIM, since 2016 as a permanent researcher. His research fields cover experimental quantum optics applied to quantum information and metrology, novel quantum measurement protocols, quantum mechanics foundations investigation and quantum technologies. He participated to many Italian and European research projects, and coordinated the INRiM unit within the FIRB project “Thermalskin”. His research got published in more than 30 ISI papers and several conference proceedings.
