Dr. Alessio Avella has been a permanent researcher at INRIM since 2016. He obtained a master’s degree in Physics of Advanced Technologies in 2010 and a PhD in Physics in 2014 at the University of Turin. His main scientific interests are inserted in the research field of experimental quantum optics. He has contributed to many experiments concerning: quantum metrology, quantum communication, foundation of quantum mechanics and quantum imaging. In particular, he contributed to the development of innovative measurement paradigms in quantum mechanics, such as sequential weak measurements and protective measurements.
