Recent Developments in Quantum Key Distribution

An overview of the state of the art of QKD in terms of achievable key rates and distances for fiber based and satellite systems is given. Then I will discuss current efforts for integrating QKD links in telecom networks and exploiting photonic integrated chips to reduce cost and size of the devices.
