Three different types of tests of the quantum nature of gravity
In my talk I will discuss three possible and broadly defined tests of the quantum nature of gravity, cosmological, astronomical and tabletop. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, both in terms of the experimental difficulties involved as well as in terms of the underlying theoretical assumptions required to reach a definitive conclusion. I will outline them first and then proceed to speculate about possible implications as far as the need to quantize gravity is concerned.
