Ultimate limits of quantum information protocols
Ultimate limits of quantum information protocols
In this seminar, I discuss the ultimate limits that can be reached in various areas of quantum information, in relation to problems of secure quantum communication, quantum hypothesis testing, and quantum metrology. For all these tasks, I consider the most powerful adaptive protocols that are allowed by the laws of quantum mechanics. Then, I discuss how quantum teleportation can be used as a theoretical tool to simplify their treatment and derive simple formulas for bounding their optimal performance.
